Hello, I’m Bea, the creative mind behind the Camp’n’Connect app. Together with my charming VW Bus Kuddel and my friend Timo, I explore the colorful corners of Europe. We have a love of discovering hidden gems, immersing ourselves in the cultures of different countries and enjoying the fresh green of nature.

The brilliant idea for Camp’n’Connect came to me on my very first solo tour in picturesque Norway. Despite the many friendly campers along the way, I felt like I was at a party where everyone was too shy to make the first move. We passed each other on the streets, but our paths rarely crossed in the same place.

Social roulette was a real thing, especially on campsites: who is cool and who actually wants peace and quiet? This guesswork got me thinking – other campers had to feel the same way too! I looked for an app that could bring us together, but only found a yawning emptiness in the app store. I often spent the evenings alone, even though I would have much preferred to make new friends.

That’s when I realized: If the universe doesn’t give you an app, you just make it yourself! Timo, who couldn’t get enough of camps and campfires even as a child, was immediately enthusiastic about the idea. So we rolled up our sleeves and started turning our vision of a camper community app into reality. This journey is our biggest and most exciting adventure to date – a roller coaster ride into the world of self-employment.

Our dream? To create a lively community in which every camper, vanlifer and backpacker can immediately find a connection, no matter where in the world.
